welcome to Loveland

… in the wilds of Southside Virginia, lies a land called Love; a place where horses, humans & the land exist together in harmony.

This is a place to learn, explore & connect through horsemanship, mindfulness & regenerative agriculture.

Every program here is rooted in intention, respect, and real-world experience, designed to help you cultivate skill, presence, and meaningful connection with animals, nature, and your own body.

Whether you’re here to deepen your relationship with your horse, heal mind, body & spirit in nature, or support & enjoy sustainable, climate-resilient agriculture, Loveland Grove offers hands-on experiences that inspire, educate, and alter you…

Our Offerings

  • Horsemanship

Learn the quiet art of communication between horse and human. Our Horsemanship Center features a 60’ round pen, woodland obstacle course, and multi-terrain trails with varied inclines, all designed to build trust, confidence, and a responsive, willing horse. Bring your own horse for personalized training or stay for a weekend intensive to deepen your bond.

Ready to take your horse’s training to the next level? Enroll your horse in our 8-week private training program to develop a calm, confident, and responsive partner through structured groundwork, riding, trail exposure, and obstacle work. Spots are limited.

  • Mental Wellness

Experience evidence-based, trauma-informed wellness through mindful connection with nature; and with horses, if you choose. Through somatic movement, breath-work, and mindful body awareness, these sessions gently restore balance to the nervous system, release tension, and cultivate presence. Participants deepen harmony between mind, body, and spirit while building resilience, self-awareness, and a grounded sense of ease.

  • Agriculture

Rooted in regenerative design, Loveland Grove is cultivating a living ecosystem built on agroecology, permaculture, and climate-resilient growhouses. In 2026, we’re launching The Manna Project, providing fresh, nutrient-rich produce to local families at no cost; as well as our General Store - featuring an apothecary of ritual skincare, medicinal herbs and flowers, and nootropic, medicinal & ritual mushrooms.

8 WEEK TRAINING HORSE PROGRAM

Our 8-week private training program begins by building a safe, steady, and willing horse from the ground up. In our 60’ round pen, we start at square one, teaching your horse to focus, respond calmly to basic cues, and understand the language of learning. Through structured groundwork and handling, your horse develops the foundation for balance, attention, and cooperation, setting the stage for everything that comes next.

Next, all groundwork will be transferred to our woodland obstacle course - learning how to navigate logs, bridges, gates, uneven terrain and more to build confidence, problem-solving skills, and adaptability—foundational abilities every horse needs to be safe, reliable, and confident in any discipline.

Training then continues under saddle out on the trails, where your horse will learn how to move out in the open calmly at walk, trot, and canter, practicing straight lines, smooth turns, and maintaining balance and responsiveness over varied terrain. Exposure to country roads, cars, tractors, mailboxes, and wooded inclines reinforces focus, control, and calm responsiveness in real-world situations.

By the end of the program, you’ll have a soft, supple, and dependable horse that moves safely at walk, trot, and canter - both in the arena and on trails - and handles any situation with confidence and clarity. The program concludes with a full-day intensive, giving you the chance to experience everything your horse has learned firsthand, plus lifetime access to guidance and support whenever you need it.

At the Grove, we believe the land remembers what the world forgets. That peace is not something to chase, but something the soil already knows. Here, horses teach stillness, the seasons teach patience, and every living thing becomes a partner in our return to balance. We tend this place as a living prayer: for presence, for belonging, and for the quiet miracle of being alive together.

“I would like my life to be a statement of love and compassion; and where it isn't, that's where my work lies.” - Ram Dass

Steady Ground is an exit counseling, post-cult recovery, and education space for those who have left or are considering leaving a high-control group.

This is a trauma-informed environment to reclaim safety, identity, and community through private, pro-bono mindfulness sessions.

Questioning Things? is an independent research hub exploring the psychology of control, the biology of survival, and the resilience of the human condition.

This space examines how power, silence, and the distortion of reality take root within high-control and coercive environments, and how those systems continue to shape perception, behavior, and belief long after you leave them.

Reclaim Yourself.
